This is me in one of my other disguises as a Scot in an English civil war re-enactment group.

Paranormal investigations have been an interest of mine for some years. I have been in a high profile group for the last four years and have become a very good dowser, medium and trans-medium, I also teach the techniques of enabling others to do this type of work.
Over the years my partner and I have appeared on live television programs on ITV1 and ITV2 trying to explain the paranormal.
I tend to have a skeptical attitude towards the work we do, as things that we photograph and record are not always paranormal but can be explained as natural or man made interference's.
This is the other side of what we do, investigate and examine every piece of evidence to see if it can be explained, if not, whats left could be classed as paranormal.

I have been interested in the spiritual world since child hood. As a young teenager, I could see auras clearly and though they were the norm. At times I could predict things accurately and did the ouija board as do so many youngsters! As do so many people I put the interest to one side as I grew up.

I went to university to study English, also taking one paper in the philosophy department - the Logic of Semantics. I think that has put me in good stead for some of the research into the more esoteric areas - including that of quantum physics, which, by many, is regarded as more of a philosophy than a science.

I taught for many years at secondary schools up to A level and as Head of Department for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties. I went on to be an advisory teacher for Gloucestershire, working in many of its secondary schools. I qualified as a schools' inspector, but sadly never used that as ill health forced me into retirement (arthritis)

I also went back to University in London for a year to complete an Advanced Diploma in Psychology.

I was brought up Catholic - some feel an interest in mediumistic abilities to be at odds with this background, but I was brought up praying to 'dead people' - now, however, I get answers!

But to see or experience such things happening isn't enough - I want to know the HOW and the WHY of it.

This has led me into a variety of areas of research. At some level, each area interconnects with many others, thus consciousness study has led me to quantum physics, while study of the Knights Templar quickly led on to working with frequencies given the atunement of their buildings to particular frequencies known to change brain states.

What are my particular areas of interest - 90% of what is listed!!

I suppose if I was forced to shorten the list to just a couple I would have to go with quantum consciousness and the phenomena produced by varying frequencies - from orbs to trance. Both topics cover a vast area and seem to be the way forward in 'talking about' what is going on in the world of the so-called 'paranormal.

I have been into anything to do with the paranormal and ancient mysteries for some years now. I have also belonged to various groups over the years and have appeared on live television. Although I have the ability to communicate with the 'other side', I also have a skeptical approach to all things that may occur, even on an investigation, I will not report it as paranormal untill every other rational explaination can be accounted for.

I have also arranged many investigations at various locations all over the UK. I have investigated many places from derelict buildings to private homes, high profile castles and mansions.
