Wide Range, - 54 to 1000°F

Wide range temperature measurements from -54 to 1000°F, 0.1° resolution. Accuracy: ± 2% of reading or ± 40 F (20 C) whichever is the greater. Built-in laser pointer identifies the target area. Backlighting illuminates display for taking measurements at night or in areas with low background light levels. Audible and visible indicators. Automatic Data Hold when trigger is released.

This piece of kit is very handy for those cold spots that are detected, we use these thermometers on every investigation we attend.

One thing to bear in mind is that the IR non- contact thermometer will not measure temperature inbetween the thermometer to the target, unless something gets in the way i.e. people or any moving objects.

On one investigation at Carew Castle, South Wales, we measured a static outside temperature of 6 deg C, when the medium picked up a presence (spirit) the temperature either side of him went down to -16 deg C.

We have had temperature anomilies even on a warm summer's night in Rendelsham Forest, the base reading taken was 19 deg C and when the medium said there was a cold spot over his left shoulder, we aimed the non-contact thermometer at the area and the temperature reading was -17 deg C. We carried on taking readings everytime the medium said the cold spot had moved and continued this for some 10 minutes before it faded. The cold spot was approximately 10ft behind the medium, so he could not feel the temperature changes that were recorded. This anomilie has never been explained..
